So I'm just curious what others are using out there on there toys I personally have always used cornstarch due to my first toys where Fleshlights and they recommend to use cornstarch. But I have noticed some other's mentioning baby powder. So what are you guys using and why have you used both reason you prefer one over the other? Well let me know guys and happy fapping :D

@Bluehunterx Cornstarch. Baby powder has been found to be tainted with toxic chemicals in the very recent past. I prefer to use food-grade materials (including lube) with my toys.

@eelsushi I have not found any solid evidence proving that baby powder has been tainted with toxic chemicals, but I did see that talc is mined in areas where asbestos can be found as well.
One risk that is real which applies to both baby powder and cornstarch is the risk of inhalation. The powders can cause complications in the lungs if too much is inhaled, which does make sense as both baby powder and cornstarch absorb fluids easily and can cause clumping inside the lungs if there is a significant amount is inhaled.
The plus side to cornstarch is that it is cheap and as you have mentioned, food-grade, allowing it to be budget friendly and it having a more varied use than just toy care.

@Bluehunterx I also started using cornstarch since reading that post someone asked about stickiness and it's worked great for me so far. Besides corn starch is so much cheaper too I think.

@Bluehunterx
At first I got some cheap WalMart lavender-scented cornstarch-based baby powder to use with my toys but I now feel that I prefer the slightly sticky texture of the onaholes that I do have over having baby powder hands. I'm not really worried about stuff sticking to the onaholes because I do clean and store them properly. On the note of cleaning, I find that using liquid softsoap over bar soaps has made the toys a bit less sticky and better feeling, also easier to pump it in and lather up the insides and really get the gunk out. I was using Dove bar soap but I think the moisturizers in it make the toys stickier.

@Bluehunterx I've never noticed a difference. I happen to have more baby powder on hand so I tend to use that more. But now after reading comments I may switch back to cornstarch later! But in terms of the effectiveness ton the TPE they both felt the same to me.

@Bluehunterx I've tried both and haven't noticed a difference when it comes to stickiness reduction and toy longevity. I tend to prefer cornstarch since the one I buy comes in a wide jar. Most baby powder containers are tall and has that shake dispensing cap, the powder gets in the air and I disliked breathing it in.
